Day 17: For the zen touch in my life

This statue of Buddha, with peace writ large on his face, deep in introspection or meditation, inspires me to stay calm in the midst of all the chaos that threatens to take over my life. It called out to me the moment I saw it at a potter’s shed, and I had to pick it up.

  1. There’s a kind of calmness, a free of all kind of feeling on Buddha face, which I love the most. I have been wanting one for a long time. May be one of these days, I shall get one.

      1. Amma heard it somewhere that if a big Buddha statue is kept it home, the man of the house might get tempted to leave the materialistic life and go into Sanyasam. I know its pretty shallow, but she is very stern about this.
