Remember I told you, a while back, of how I have been thinking of Tamilnadu a lot, Madurai and Madras in particular? Well, somehow the stars aligned the right way, and we managed to go on a short holiday to Madurai! Yay to that!
The trip turned out to be nice and relaxing, just what we wanderlusters were lusting for. We explored the relatively untouched places in Madurai – the Madurai beyond the Meenakshi Amman temple. We took loads of pictures, walked around a fair bit, talked to people, and ate a whole lot. We checked out the street food of Madurai – no, the city is not all about the jigarthanda! – and we did some souvenir shopping.
