… from the US of A, courtesy of a sweet cousin and his wife, along with loads of other goodies, many of them of the chocolate-ey type, is this: So, my long-standing desire to taste chilli-flavoured chocolate gets fulfilled, finally. Pepper, remember I told you, some time ago, that my package of bliss would be arriving soon? π
It seems like I am somewhat of a purist as far as chocolate is concerned, though. I seem to like only proper milk chocolate and, to an extent, dark chocolate, but my taste buds find it really difficult to accept chocolate with something as jolting as chilli added to it. However, I will let some time pass before I decide on that. Who knows, I might get addicted to differently-flavoured chocolates in time?! π I am waiting to try out the sea salt-flavoured Lindt, too.
This does go down as one of the most different (‘exotic’ in my dictionary) foods that I have tried out, so it definitely finds pride of place on my blog. π
And, oh, the Lindt white chocolate truffles are something else altogether! Out of this world, totally. The entire packet has been devoured, and there are no pictures to show here.
Please to excuse me while I go stuffing my mouth with more chocolate. π
The white chocolate truffles are my FAVORITE. When we were in new york ( https://mackmarie.com/2016/07/23/new-york-new-york/ ), we stopped by a lindt store and were overwhelmed by the incredible amounts of options. I have never tried the chili chocolate, but have wanted to. I just have to now after reading this!!

Wow! I have never visited a Lindt store – would absolutely love to do that some time! π
The chilli chocolate wasn’t accepted by our taste buds, sadly. The white chocolate truffles were simply gorgeous, though.

I have had the Lindt milk chocolate, as well as their white chocolate. Love them both! Lindt makes chocolates of a different class altogether. )

Glad you finally got to taste the chilli flavoured one. Also try the orange bit wala, mint one is very refreshing too. For the mint one, I also recommend ‘after eight’. It is this yummy mint filled chocolate slab wrapped as individual mouth freshener cum dessert. YUM!

Yes, for me, it always feels great if someone brings me foreign goodies, especially chocolate, in spite of most of the stuff being readily available in India these days. π
I didn’t like the chilli chocolate much, but I did love the other stuff that the cousin has got for us. π

White chocolate truffles – Droooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool. I haven’t tried dark chilli yet. But I love love love love Lindt. I love dark chocolate too – something I realized only after giving it a fair shot.
And yes, there are sugar free chocolates, but well, they are different. Not sure if you’d like them after trying these. I haven’t tried many varieties so it would be unfair to really comment, but I know they are there. Sometimes, pharmacies have them here too.
Go girl, enjoy your goods π

I don’t think I would enjoy sugarless chocolates. For me, chocolates and cakes are all about the sugar! π
Thanks, Kismi!

I like milk chocolate, which I had as a child, but now I’m a fan of dark chocolate. I’ve tried various spicy versions of that, which I enjoyed, although one was actually a bit too hot, even for me. For spicy chocolate drinks, you can add a dash of cayenne to homemade or ready made hot chocolate to spice it up.

Now, chocolate and orange does sound like a combination that I would like. π
I tried a few cubes of the chilli chocolate, but it doesn’t seem to be my… err… slab of chocolate. π¦

I love the ordinary milk chocolate by Lindt, but somehow, I am not a big fan of the chilli-flavoured one.

It’s possible. Sugar can be substituted by coconut palm candy. It’s still sugar, but (relatively) more healthy. Refer wiki article if you want to know more.

Yes, I know THAT is possible, I know. Just that it wouldn’t be proper chocolate!
