Arch, who blogs here, has decided to give me The Sunshine Award.
Thank you so much for this, Arch! I am glad you love reading my blog. π
I need to put up 10 random things about myself, in order to accept the award. I am tempted to cheat and point you to the number of times I have written down random things about myself on my blog, but I will refrain. I will be a good girl, and write about 10 new things. π So, here we go:
1. I am currently reading Adriana Trigiani’s Very Valentine. I’m loving the book so far.
2. I have finally found three soaps that suit my skin texture – the Fiama di Wills gel bar, the regular Pears bar, and Dettol Skincare. They don’t make my face look as if it needs blotting paper, and neither do they make it feel like blotting paper itself. They are just right. Phew!
3. I am falling in love with dark chocolate. My current love is Bournville’s dark chocolate with cranberries. Gorgeous it is!
4. I take after my father, in terms of looks. A lot of people have told me so. (Taking the cue from Arch’s blog.)
5. I plan on making vegetable sandwiches for dinner tonight. Maybe, there will be some curd rice too.
6. I love playing Wordament on my cellphone – it is a word game, where you need to locate words out of grid. It is challenging, fun and addictive. Any of you play it?
7. I still haven’t had any litchis this season! π¦
8. I finally caught up with the movie Queen, and loved it!
9. I am all in the mood for some street photography, as you might have guessed from the recent posts on my blog already.
10. I am craving to bake something at home. It has been ages since I did. I don’t know what I want to bake, though.
What’s up in your lives, people?
“The Girl Next Door” has been included in the A Sunday Drive for this week. Be assured that I hope this helps to point even more new visitors in your direction.

Congrats TGND! You totally deserve it π
Have you tried Lindt’s dark chocolate with chilli? It is delish! π
I want litchis now. I haven’t spotted fresh ones here in UAE. Just those canned ones which taste not-so-good π¦
Queen was refreshing na! Thoroughly enjoyed watching it π
I love word games too. Going to check Wordament now π
Your posts are a treat and especially the ones with candid-street-photos you click π

I didn’t even know there was a Lindt dark chocolate with chilli! Thanks for letting me know. I’ve got to try that out. π
Canned litchis?! Not a patch over the fresh ones you can buy off the street, I say!
Do check out Wordament. It’s a lovely, challenging game.
Will, hopefully, be doing more street photography posts.

Set Dahi works well in place of Greek yogurt (without the whey) and home made curd if it has set really well.

My daughter and her friend are baking honey-lavender cupcakes. We had to search for the culinary lavender. I am addicted to Words With Friends on my phone, a game similar to Scrabble.
Enjoy your weekend!

Yes, litchis are already in the market. Not the ripe, pink, fat ones that are really juicy, though. So, I’m waiting. Check out this post: https://thegalnxtdoor.wordpress.com/2014/05/20/the-litchi-sellers-of-new-bel-road/
Mango cake is a great idea! Will look up recipes. Have never baked one.

For my hair, Dove shampoo works fine. Not perfect, but not too bad either. Better than all the ones I have tried so far. Have you tried it?
Arre, you should watch Queen. You’ll love it. π

I like the sound of veggie sandwiches and curd rice – yumm!
A lot of ppl tell me I look like my dad too, whereas I think I look like my mom (Err.. should have kept it for my post π )
I am thinking of baking something over the weekend as well, its been really really long. Chocolate Tea Cake is on my mind from morning, cant get it off at all π

Wow! Chocolate tea cake sounds yummylicious. Do post the recipe, ok?
I was talking about Fiami di Willis gel bar, not the ordinary soap. This one just melts in your hands, like butter. π
He he.. would love to read your post for the award.
Do watch Queen. It’s lovely!

Oh yes yes. I have the gel bar only. And its lathers quite well no? Its like silk π

@Greenboochi
Yes, it melts horribly fast. A bar is over before you even realise you’ve been using it. π But then, they say good soap bars should be like that.
