The key no longer turns smoothly to open the lock, as it used to. The key is rusty, and so is the lock. Both have been banged, hit, and have braved the weather. It’s difficult to say whether the key no longer fits into the lock, or whether the lock has changed and doesn’t accommodate the key any more. Now, they do not open up hidden realms of pristine beauty, together, as they used to.
The lock and key were made for each other, and have worked in unison for many a year. It’s a pity that they don’t seem to know. I can only hope the rust can be sandpapered off, and the lock and key made as good as new. I would love for them to unite again, and, together, continue to unlock shut doors into unique and lovely worlds. As they used to.

Rust. Something we all seem to collect with age. But like it has already been said, a little bit of oiling and greasing will make it work
@Pepper
